Lucinda
Lucinda was an African American girl enslaved by the Barnett family, who took her to Utah and California.
On the 1852 California census, Lucinda is listed as "Sindy."
On other records her name appears as "Lucina" or "Loucina."
Prior to her marriage in 1865, she appears on records under the surname "Barnett." However, she is also associated with the potential maiden name of "Duncan." Her brother was Jordan Duncan.
