Lucy Courser Taft was born 26 March 1812 in Upton, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States, daughter of Amasa and Delphia (Flagg) Taft. Lucy marries Forrester Harwood on 6 October 1835, Worcester, Massachusetts. They have a girl and two sons. The Harwoods live in Nauvoo in 1839. Records show that Forrester was baptized in 1842 and was in the Seventy Quorum membership. Forrester Harwood died in 1845. The record shows that Lucy C. Harwood get her endownment in the Nauvoo Temple on 31 January 1846. As the Saints move west, Lucy C. Harwood is at Winter Quarters, Nebraska were she marries Randolph Alexander on 14 March 1848. Lucy travels with  Randolph on the Willard Richards Company, arriving in the Salt Lake Valley in October, 1848. Alexander and Lucy have four girls together. She died on 29 March 1900, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 88.
