The widow Lydia Fleming arrived in Salt Lake City in 1847 or 1848.  Her husband, Isaac Fleming, died in Nauvoo in 1844.  She was rebaptized in Salt Lake City on 22 October 1848, and the Salt Lake Stake Record of Members, shows her name as as "Lydda Caroline Fleming."

Her name is listed as "Lydia Caroline Fleming" in the 1850 Utah census, born in Massachusetts, and she is with Isaac Fleming, age 4, who was born in Missouri.

The Nauvoo Temple Endowment Register confirms her birth date.
