Lydia Huysman
Wife of Timothy Mets.
The Mets family traveled on the ship Hudson, arriving in New York 19 July 1864. One instance of family tradition states they may have traveled in the 1864 William Hyde company. Another states they traveled in their own independent company. An obituary for Cornelius Dirk Exalto states that he traveled to Utah in 1864 with "F. Mets." The "F" was a typo. It should be a "T." Cornelius emigrated with his wife and daughter's family in the William Hyde Company.
"Metz" is an alternate spelling of their surname found in some records
