Maren Mathilda Castorine Andersen
Evidence from emigration and genealogical records proves that she traveled to Utah in 1866. She sailed to America as a single woman in 1866 on the ship Kenilworth with her brother Christian Emil Anderson. The first documentation to place her in Utah is her marriage to Lauritz Jacobson 4 April 1867, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration.
Her birth and death dates are confirmed by her death certificate and the inscription on her gravestone.
In some records, her name is listed as "Maren Castoreal Mathilda," but on the ship manifest she gave her name as "Maren Math."
