According to her rebaptism record of 1 November 1855 at Brigham City, Utah, Margaret was born in Denmark; she was about fifty years old and may be the "Margrete" Anderson (age 49) who crossed the Atlantic on the ship James Nesmith, arriving at New Orleans on 23 February 1855. A Lars Anderson was also on this voyage of the Nesmith. He may be the Lars Anderson from Denmark who was rebaptized on the same day and at the same place as Margaret. Additional research is needed to identify the pioneer company with which Margaret crossed the plains.
