Her obituary states that she and her son John William Goodwin came to America in 1859 and to Utah in 1861. She married Hyrum P. Trim in October 1861 after arriving in Utah, but we have not been able to determine whether her first husband, William Goodwin came to Utah. Further research is needed to confirm the name of the company she and her son traveled to Utah with.
