Maria Tole
John Spendlove, a widower, married Maria Tole, a spinster, on 11 October 1852 in Warwickshire, England. John, Maria and two of John's sons from his previous marriage arrived in New York on 20 July 1863 via the ship Amazon. They continued on to the Valley that same year, as is documented in the Perpetual Emigrating Fund records. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company they traveled with.
