Martha Kirstine Benson

The family sailed to America in 1853 on the ship Forest Monarch.  Her name is listed as "Martine Benson" on the ship manifest.

The original spelling of their surname is "Bendtsen," and some sources their surname is spelled "Bentzen."

Martha's death date is confirmed by the inscription on her gravestone.
