Evidence from emigration and genealogical records proves that the Thomson family traveled to Utah in 1862. The Thomsen family traveled with Caroline Thomsen's mother, Karen Sophie Hansen, who is mentioned in the Hans Jorgan Peterson autobiography.
Mary Augusta's given name is listed as "Augustine M." on the Scandinavian Mission records.
