Daughter of Joseph Hall and Hannah Maria Hartley Hall. Her father died at St. Louis, Missouri. Evidence from census and church ordinance records proves that Mary traveled to Utah in 1861 with her mother and step-father (Joseph Savage). The family's travel is mentioned in her brother's obituary. She married William Henry Green at Salt Lake City.
