Mary Jane traveled with her mother, Mercy. According to 1850 Utah census records, she lived with her mother in Salt Lake City, right next door to the home of her uncle Joseph. By 1860, Mary Jane lived in the household of her husband, David Taylor. Her birth and death dates are confirmed by her obituary.
