She is seen in her mother's household in Iowa at the time of the 1860 federal census (enumerated 7 August). First documentation to place her in the Valley is a rebaptism under her married name of Heaston on 14 August 1864. She would have traveled some time between 1861 and 1864. Her birth date is confirmed in the record at the time of that ordinance.
