Evidence from church ordinance records proves that Matilda traveled to Utah in 1851.   The temple ordinance was performed 14 July 1852, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration.  Further research is needed to determine the name of the company she traveled with.

Her name is listed as "Matilda M. Busby" in the 1860 Utah census and on her gravestone.
