Matilda Noren
Anders and Matilda arrived in New York on 18 July 1866 via the ship Humboldt. Only Anders' name appears on the overland company records as head of household, but it shows he purchased two adult food rations for that portion of the journey, indicating that Matilda was still with him when he crossed the plains.
A historical sketch taken from his own words, while he was still living, confirms that he and his wife traveled together. One daughter died during the sea voyage, and one son reached the Valley with them.
