Meredith Fisk Ames

Meredith was the son of Charles Fisk and Emily Hill and was adopted by Ira Ames after 1857, using "Ames" as his surname for the remainder of his life. He traveled in the 1856 Philemon C. Merrill company, using the surname "Brown," with Catherine Slauson Brown, and he is with her in the 1850 Utah census, again listed with the surname "Brown."  His death certificate shows his name as "Meredith Ames."
