Nancy Mariah Winchester
10 Aug. 1828–17 Mar. 1876. Born in Black Rock (later in Buffalo), Erie Co., New York. Daughter of Stephen Winchester and Nancy Case. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, 1833/1834. Likely baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, ca. Aug. 1836, in Kirtland. Moved near Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, 1837. Likely moved to Payson, Adams Co., Illinois, early 1839. Moved to Hancock Co., Illinois, by 1840. Lived in Nauvoo Third Ward, ca. spring 1842. Joined Female Relief Society of Nauvoo, 27 May 1842. Identified in some sources as a plural wife of Joseph Smith. Married Heber C. Kimball as a plural wife, 10 Oct. 1844, in Nauvoo. Likely moved to Winter Quarters, unorganized U.S. territory (later in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska), 1846. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley, 1849. Resided with parents in Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory, 1850. Married Amos George Arnold, 12 Oct. 1865, in Salt Lake City. Died in Salt Lake City.
