Naomi Elizabeth Spicer
Evidence from census and genealogical records proves that Naomi and Mortimer Spicer traveled to Utah by 1850. They were the niece and nephew of Joseph and Diana France, and probably traveled with them in the 1849 Samuel Gully/Orson Spencer Company. Both Mortimer and Naomi appear in the France household in the 1850 Utah census (they are listed as Mortimer "France" (age 8) and "Momi France" (age 6). Further research is needed to confirm their year of travel and the name of the company they traveled with.
