The British Mission record (as seen on Mormon Migration) seems to indicate that the Nilsson family was scheduled to cross the ocean on the ship Electric. However, their names appear on the passenger list for the ship Athena, another Mormon emigrant ship that left Hamburg about the same time. Not all of the children are seen on the passenger list, indicating that they either died en route or did not make the trip. The Athena arrived in New York on 9 June 1862.
Hans is not listed on the Deseret News roster; however, several family members are shown on the Horne Company roster. Further research is needed. Some death records use the surname of Nelson.
