Oliver Stephen McBride
Oliver came with two of his uncles, John and Reuben McBride, an Aunt, Martha Knight, and some cousins.
In the 1850 census he is living with his brother Harlem with or near their Uncle John McBride.
There is also a possibility that he accompanied an earlier company in 1848. Caroline Barnes Crosby identifies some men from the Willard Richards company that came to visit as Homer Duncan, Charles A. Burk, and Oliver McBride . However, this "Oliver McBride" could actually be William McBride (not a relation to Oliver) who was a captain of 10 in the company roster, and traveling with his family. As Oliver would have been only 12 in 1848 it is highly likely that this mention by Caroline is William not Oliver.
