Notes
Journal History of Feb 24, 1856, pg 4 - Orson Pratt, Jr. was called, along with his father, to a mission to England; however, Orson, Jr. was courting in Salt Lake City in that year and married the 1st of October 1856. It does not appear that he actually fulfilled this 1856 mission. Orson Pratt Sr., from England, announced his son's marriage in the MS for 6 Dec 1856 in Salt Lake City. Further, in the Spring of 1863, while Orson Pratt, Jr. was living in St. George, Brigham Young called him on another mission to England. Orson Pratt, Jr. declined to serve. However, Orson Pratt, Jr. did serve a colonizing mission to Dixie or St. George in October 1860, when he went with his father who was called to preside along with Erastus Snow.
