n some sources his surname is spelled "Peterson". He came with his father, Lars and his mother, Maren  and sister, Karen on the ship Humboldt in 1862. Also on the ship were his step siblings: Christian, Jens, Maren and Frederick.  His given name is listed as "Ova" on the Deseret News roster.
