Peder Christian Andersen
The parish register lists his birth name as Peder Christian Christensen. He later changed it to Andersen. He came on the ship on the John J. Boyd where he married his wife Kirsten Marie Jacobsen. Kirsten's obituary confirms that they came to Utah in 1856. The first documentation to place the family in Utah is the birth of their son Peter Christian born on Oct. 10, 1857.
According to a family history, they traveled with the Canute Peterson company. More research is needed to determine the accuracy of this notion.
