Peder Jensen

The Jensen family sailed to America in 1856 on the ship Thornton.  Peder's wife, Kirsten Weaver Jensen and their son, Jens,  Charl Jensen, were on the ship with this family, but both died in 1856 in St. Louis, Missouri. Another member  of the family that came on the same ship was: Hans.  We do not have the death date of the son, but Kirsten died in October 1856, so the remainder of the family would have came to Utah in 1857.

According to a note on Peder's Find a Grave entry, the Parish birth record "clearly shows that he was born 15 November 1811 instead of 11 November 1811 as the gravestone indicates." He also went by the name of Graves
