Petrene Hansen Jensen Steck
Petrene is the widow of Mikkel Sorensen. Her children took the name "Mikkelsen" spelled "Mickelson" in some sources.
She came across the Atlantic in 1861, with her children, Annie and Jens, and Annie's husband, Soren P. Rasmussen. They came on the ship called, "Monarch of the Sea." Her name is listed as Petrine B. Mikkelsen in the ship records, "Patrina B." in Journal History, and Petrine B. Steck, on the company roster. She married Jens F. Steck in June 1861.
