Polly Stephens
Polly married Thomas Adair in Pottawattamie, Iowa and they had one son born there in 1849. She became a widow and gave birth to her daughter Susan Susanna Adair in Provo, Utah. The 1850 Utah census shows Polly living with the John Whitlock Radford’s family and she married John in 1855. The 1850 Utah census was taken in the spring of 1851, so Polly would have arrived in Utah in 1850. Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company with which she traveled to Utah.
