Evidence from emigration and census records proves that the Nethercott family traveled to Utah sometime between 1850 and 1855. The family appears on the 1850 Hartley ship manifest, but the first documentation to place them in Utah is the 1856 Utah census, which was taken in February 1856, prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. Further research is needed to determine the year they came to Utah and the name of the company they traveled with.Her name appears as "Ritchel Nethercott" on the 1900 Utah Census.
