Rasmina Matilda Rasmussen

The Rasmussen family arrived in America via the ship John J. Boyd in 1855. The family consisted of Mikkel and Ingeborg, and their children, Birgit Maria, Karen, Niels, Rasmine, Rasmus, Soren and Soren Peter.

As indicated in Peter Rasmussen's reminiscence, three of the children came across the plains in 1857. Rasmus died en route to Utah. Rasmina also died upon the journey's end at Salt Creek. Bertha Marie was the only one who survived the journey.
