Two obituaries in the Avery family state that they arrived in Utah in 1849. This is confirmed by contemporary land records indicating that her mother received a plot of land in Salt Lake City in 1849. In the 1850 Utah census Rosanna is "Rozina Lemmon," living in the household of James W, Lemmon.
