She was traveling with her mother. They are seen in Illinois at the time of the 1860 federal census, enumerated on 20 August. First documentation to place them in the Valley is their rebaptism in the Seventeenth Ward on 22 November 1862, so they likely traveled in either 1861 or 1862. Further research is needed to narrow the year of their travel and identify the name of the company they traveled with.
