Rufus Columbus Burlison Adair
Rufus crossed the plains with his father and siblings. According to the biographical life sketch of Samuel Newton Adair, the Adair family crossed the plains as part of the Benjamin Gardner company. In 1851, the Adair family was listed on the 1851 Iowa census. Rufus was also located on the 1856 Utah territorial census in the household of his father, Samuel Jefferson Adair.
