Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Brigham Young, 14 Aug. 1836, in Boston. Married Edward Sayers, 23 Jan. 1841, in St. Louis. Husband purchased land just west of Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, from Joseph Smith and Emma Smith, 19 May 1841. Member of Nauvoo Second Ward, ca. 1842.9 Joined Female Relief Society of Nauvoo, 14 Apr. 1842. Plural wife of Joseph Smith, sealed in Feb. 1843. Lived in Boston, 1844–1849. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley, 1849. Resided in Salt Lake City Twelfth Ward, from at least 1852 until her death. Died in Salt Lake City.
