Samuel Bateman
Although his name appears on a Pace company "roster" in the Journal History, that is a non-contemporary typescript list lacking documentation. It is more likely that he came in the 1850 Livingston and Kinkead company as recounted in Elizabeth Bateman Margett's obituary.
Birth date confirmed by West Jordan Ward records and the Salt Lake Stake Record of Members at the time of his rebaptism on 15 June 1857.
