Samuel Roberts, Sr.
The Roberts family Samuel, his wife Mary, children Thomas, Eliza, Catherine, Arthur and Mary came from England and arrived in New York on 5 July 1866 via the ship American Congress. The overland company records only list heads of household, but the notation that Samuel, Sr. purchased 5 1/2 adult food rations indicates that the whole family was with him during this portion of the journey as well.
