Samuel Stanfield
Samuel came to Utah in either 1864 or 1865. He likely came in 1864, the year he sailed to America on the ship Monarch of the Sea. The first documentation to place him in the territory are records of the Utah Territorial Militia for Utah County dated May and October 1866. At the time of the 1870 federal census Samuel was living in Spanish Fork. Additional research in needed to identify the pioneer company with which he traveled. His death date is from records of the Spanish Fork High Priest Quorum In some sources his surname is spelled "Stansfield".
