Sarah Ann Burbage

Evidence from emigration and newspaper records proves that Sarah Ann traveled to Utah in 1854. She sailed to America in 1854. The first documentation to place her in Utah is a newspaper article dated 30 Nov. 1854, advertising her business. Further research is needed to determine the name of the company she traveled with. Some records give her birth year as 1817.Her birth year is confirmed by her gravestone and the 1854 Windmere ship manifest.
