The family sailed to America in 1850, on the ship James Pennell arriving in New Orleans 23 Nov. 1850.
The obituary Jane that appears in the “Memories” section of her FamilySearch, confirms that the family arrived in Utah in 1854. Further research is needed to determine the name of the company with which they crossed the plains.
At the time of Sarah Ann's death her name was Sarah Ann Lloyd Bybee.
