
Sarah Ann Wilcox
Sarah Ann married John Durfee in 1842; he died at Council Bluffs, Iowa in January 1850 so in the 1850 federal census of Pottawattamie County, Sarah alone appears with their four children. She crossed the plains with her children and was re-baptized in Utah under her maiden name (Sarah Ann Wilcox) on 20 December 1851 By the time of the 1860 federal census she was married to William W. Hollenbeck and living in Gilroy, Santa Clara, California; her Durfee children were living with an Uncle (William Thorn) in San Juan, Monterrey, California.
