Birth date is confirmed by his death certificate and Find A Grave website.

William came with his family in 1860 on the ship Underwriter. 

Thirteenth Ward rebaptism and PEF records confirm that William and his family came to Utah in 1861. He and Sarah were rebaptized on 17 October 1861.

William appears on an additional PEF record dated 1862. He is listed with his brother, Charles. It is unclear at this time if William went back east and traveled with Charles or if Charles traveled on a bond co-signed by William. More research is needed.
