Sarah Jane Mayer

The Mayer family initially traveled to the Salt Lake Valley with the Heber C. Kimball Company in 1848.  The Family included George and his wife Ann Yost, and their daughters Rachel Ann, Mary Ann, Catherine, Mariah Yost, and Sarah Jane.  Not long after the family arrived in the Salt Lake Valley, Ann gave birth to another daughter, Diantha Mayer.

Her name in the Mayer reminiscence is "Sarah Ann."   She married James Manley, a soldier in General Connor's Company.
