Sarah Picknell
Sarah's mother and siblings, sailed to America in 1855 on the ship Clara Wheeler, arriving in New Orleans on 12 January 1855. Her father was planning to accompany them, but was not able to go at that time. Her father arrived in Utah in 1855 with the John Hindley pioneer company.
Sarah married William Alexander Reid in Wyoming on 17 November 1860. He was a stage driver for the Pony Express at the Rock Ridge Pony Express Station in Wyoming. Sarah was in Utah by 15 October 1862 where she gave birth to a son. By 9 December 1869 the Reid family were living in Nebraska, where another son was born. Further research is needed to determine the year of their arrival and the name of the pioneer company with which they traveled to Utah.
