Sarah Rex
Sarah, who was a widow, sailed to America in 1850 on the ship James Pennell with her brother William and his family, arriving in New Orleans on 23 November 1850. The first documentation to place her in Utah is the 1856 Utah territorial census, which was take in February 1856. Therefore, she arrived in Utah between 1851 and 1855. Further research is needed to determine the year of her travel and the name of the pioneer company with which she traveled to Utah.
Her birth and death dates are confirmed by the "Utah State History Cemeteries and Burials Database," and her death date is also confirmed by her obituary.
