Susan Jane Bird
Susan married Henry McGee in Mississippi on 12 May 1844. They appear together in the 1850 federal census of Utah. They may have gone with the Mississippi Saints who in 1851 went to California to settle San Bernardino, remaining there until 1858 when they apparently joined other Church members in returning to Utah because of the army sent out by President James Buchanan. Henry G. Boyle in his reminiscence mentions "H. Magee" and "Susan Magee." Susan, according to Boyle, died on the way to Utah on 24 January 1858 at the Muddy River.
