Susanna Ward
Susanna crossed the Atlantic on the ship Carnatic in 1848. She married Orvel Morgan Allen in Iowa and gave birth to a daughter there (Mary Josephine Allen) then traveled to Salt Lake with the infant in 1850. Orvel is believed to have left on a mission and did not come with the wagon train. he did not come back or write, so he was presumed lost or dead at this time. In the 1850 Utah census Susanna was in the household of her brother William at Salt Lake. She married Lindsey Anderson Brady in 1852.
