Thaddeus would have traveled to Utah between 1860 when he appears in federal census living in Missouri and 1864. First documentation to place him in Utah is his rebaptism in the Fairview Ward on 5 May 1865, which was prior to that year's emigration season. His mother Susan Pritchett Hambrick was rebaptised in that same ward on 9 October 1864 and it is likely that Thaddeus traveled with her. Death date is confirmed by Utah Burials. More research is needed to confirm Thaddeus's date of birth.

Thaddeus was a teamster for the 1864 Canfield wagon train company.
