Vashtia Emily Johnson
Some sources spell given name "Vashte". She traveled west with her family of 11. She was married to Lewis Mecham and they had two sons. John was born and died in August 1861. No burial record exists for him. A second child, an infant girl was born 19 Jan 1865 and died either 19 Jan 1865 or 3 Feb 1865. The child was buried with her mother in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
