Q. Walker Lewis

One of the first Black members of the Church. 

Ordained an Elder by William Smith in either 1843 or 1844. 

Walker Lewis traveled to Utah in 1851, where he received a Patriarchal Blessing from John Smith in Salt Lake City on 4 October of that year. He only stayed in Utah for about 6 months. He returned to his family in Massachusetts in 1852.
