Walter Muir
The Muir family (Mary Bell Muir and her five children) arrived in New York on 6 July 1866 via the ship Arkwright. The overland company records list only Walter, the oldest son, as head of household, but the notation that he purchased 5 adult food rations indicates that the rest of the family was with him for that part of the journey as well. The account balance on the PEF record confirms this.
Birth and death dates listed were found in a personal, online family history record (such as Family Tree, Ancestry, or My Heritage), without any accompanying documentation. Further research is needed to verify its accuracy.
The company he traveled with was also noted in local church financial records.
