Wiley Buchanon Corbitt
He served as Sergeant of Guard for the Robison Company. He was listed twice on the roster ("William Cobitt," and "Wm Corbett.") Genealogical, church and newspaper records prove he arrived in Utah in 1860. In some sources the family's surname is spelled "Corbett." He told the clerk of the 21st Quorum of Seventy that his birth date was April 7, 1808. See Twenty-first Quorum of Seventy, Minutes, vol. 1, in Seventies Quorum, Records, CR 499, reel 68. More research is needed to confirm his date of birth.
