William Carroll
His obituary confirms his arrival in Utah in 1861 when he "hauled the first lot of telegraph wires, brought to this country, to Salt Lake City." Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company with which he traveled.
A William Thomas Carrell, who also came to Utah in 1861, died on 5 April 1892 in Caineville, Wayne, Utah. The above William Carroll's obituary confirms that he died on 18 September 1886 in Ogden, Weber, Utah. They are not the same person.
